Zomato, restaurant search and discovery service entered the good books of its users when they rolled out Zomato Gold. According to its rules, users could avail 1+1 on food or 2+2 on drinks. While that was quite a steal deal, the app-based service has changed its Zomato Gold rules. Last week, Zomato Gold informed its users that from Monday onwards, there will be a change in its Gold membership policies.
According to Zomato Gold's rules and regulations, users dining by themselves will not be able to avail of its benefits. And if there were two or three diners on the table, only one could avail of its facilities. If there are four or five diners, then two unlocks will be allowed and so on and so forth. There is still no cap on the maximum number of unlocks allowed. Some stated that Zomato can change their rules but it should be for new users and not for the existing ones who have already paid for it. Many users shared their reviews with the hashtag #zomatogoldcheater.
