A woman drowned in the Ganga river while making Instagram Reels at the Manikarnika Ghat in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi. A video of the tragic incident went viral on Wednesday, April 16. The viral video showed a woman entering the Ganga river for recording Reels. As she wades deeper into the river, she suddenly loses her balance and gets swept away by the strong current. A child screaming "mummy, mummy" is heard in the background as the woman drowns. After learning about the incident, police arrived at the scene and a search operation was launched. This fatal incident serves as another stark reminder of the real-world dangers that can arise from stunts made for social media fame.
