BJP candidate Raja Iqbal Singh defeated Congress candidate Mandeep Singh. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) boycotted the mayoral election. Raja Iqbal was the Leader of the Opposition in the MCD and has previously served as the mayor of North MCD.
