Variety praises the movie but adds that it becomes monotonous. There have been a few jabs at the silly plot of the film by a few critics, but most of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Keanu Reeves at the age of 54 delivers an action performance that is loved by critics and audience, and that is the best Hollywood can offer.
